Biohazard X

Fan game made with Game Maker. Graphics might not be terrific but I have to applaud these guys for their hard work. Great job.

Story:


15th august 1995

Connection to island facility owned by Ubrella inc. has been cut.
5 person Delta team has been sent to investigate mysterious connection cut-out,
but contact with team lost.
Soon big storm starts, and last 2 days, and after that 4 person alpha and 4 person bravo teams leave from HQ to island.

Soon teams arrives to facility, but something is wrong: bullet holes in walls, floors full of scattered papers, tables and parcels bloking the ways.

You hear mysterious sounds from everywhere, but you cant locate em.

     170mb RAM.     
     24mb Hard Disk space.
     Latest DirectX. (naturally).

3. WORLD OF SURVIVAL HORROR

    Mission that supposed to be easy investigation of mysterious connection cut-out on small island located somewhere      in atlantic ocean, incident that caused death of hundreds of people....


    Yet unknown incident starts:


    Scientists are surgering somekind of animal in lab, when it suddenly wakes up and attacks scientist and kills him.

    Security guard runs to lab and shoot strange creature, but accidentally shoot also  capsules control panel.

    Some creatures smash themselves out of capsules, and start to kill everyone on sight.
    They also breake one small test tube, and unknown liquid floats from it...

    Soon storm starts and smash communication satellite, and after 4 hours of radio silence, Umbrella inc. HQ sends 5        person Delta team to investigate mysterious connection cut-out.

    Team arrives to island facility, but suddenly without no warning, storm starts again  and chopper falls...
    and contact with it lost....

    Storm last 2 days, and after that 4 person alpha and 4 person bravo teams leaves from HQ and arrive succesfully to      island.



    You are Rick Bailey, Alpha team`s  young newcomer, and now on your first mission.

    Your team arrives to heliport, and land succesfully.

    Soon you are hacking Facility`s east side door open, while others cover you.

    Door opens, and you and others enter to facility: place looks like battle zone --> bullet holes in a walls and floors,          broken electric boxes and cutted wires, scattered papers on floors, tables and parcels blocking the way....

    You hear strange and distance sounds from there and here.....


        What the hell has happened here?

                                Where is everybody?

4. CONTROLS

  Moving

  Left key = Move left

  Right key = Move right


  Weapons
  1 = Pistol

  2 = Shotgun

  R = Reload (doesnt work yet correctly (#"¤@@@3!!!), but you can still shoot.)


  Other keys

  F1 = Info

  Enter = move in "cut-scenes"

  Messages and "zooms" can be hide just by clickin em with mouse (left or right).

  5. KNOWN BUGS / PROBLEMS


 - Only one zombie has walking sound, if others have it also, they wont stfu even if you killed em.

 - Water automat in office_4 may have some strange lines appearing and disappearing.
    (at least i have encountered that, probably graphic card....)

 -  When you load game in another room where you made save, game plays rooms sounds / musics, where you was             before loading. (sorry if i told this too complicatedly.) ( this "bug" appears in ALL big games created with    Game         Maker).

 - HUGE memory usage: 173 mb. (will be fixed in future...) ( i made couple setting changes, so its now smaller: it was        originally over 200mb.)

 - Player lose his hair when reloading ( dont worry, i forgot to draw it to him ( NJJJAAAARRRGGHH ) )

 - Strange lag, when youl find paper message and it shows about 20 seconds (RAM eating wont grow, so reason this         happens is yet unknown.)

 - All zombies HAVENT BEEN coded yet to react to shotgun (try shotgun first (couple shots/ zombie), then pistol)

   6. OTHER NOTES

 In office_3, there is small shining object in front of you, you can pick up (click it with mouse) if you want. It hasnt big    role (yet) in office stage.

 There are also some breakable objects, just try shoot everything, and youl see.
 Some objects are also usable, example, wending machines and phones. (just try click everything.) try also that electic   box in wall in entrance_2. (im quite proud of it.)
