Zombie Hordes Catacombs
In March of 2005, a small coal-mining town in a remote area of Australia breached the walls of a mysterious stone passageway while drilling a new tunnel. The news spread quickly as something like this just should not exist. Within 24 hours the first members of a scientific team had arrived on site to try and determine just who (or what) had built these tunnels. There has never been any evidence of ancient civilizations in Australia. No one had any clue.
With the coalmine cordoned off by the local police force, the scientific team ventured into the tunnels with each member having their own emergency beacon in case they were separated and lost.
It has now been 48 hours since they entered. None of them have returned.
Introduction
Zombie Hordes: The Catacombs is a squad-based strategy game built in a top-down 3D tile based world. A squad of four soldiers must navigate the dark catacombs to search and rescue missing scientists while at the same time fighting off an endless swarm of flesh eating zombies. The catacombs have not been mapped and are pitch black with the only light coming from the flashlight on the soldiers weapons. Emergency beacons in the scientists possession have been activated and the soldiers must use these signals to find their locations. Once found, the scientists must then be herded to exit points while at the same time being protected from the deadly zombies.
